Urban Dog Walking

Urban Dog Walking

As a professional dog walker in the Hamilton area, I offer a comprehensive package that includes training for loose leash walking, basic obedience, impulse control, and socialization with other dogs. My standard walks are up to one hour long, excluding pick up and drop off, and are conducted in small packs of up to four dogs.

To ensure the best possible experience for you and your dog, I have broken down my services into three easy steps:

1) Meet and Greet:

This initial consultation is free of charge and allows us to meet at your home, discuss any concerns or questions you may have, and assess your dog's suitability for walking. It will be necessary to have a certain number of Walk and Train sessions to first prepare your dog for the walks.

2) Walk and Train:

These individual training sessions typically are 30 minute sessions each and I like to do 2 a week for 2 weeks as a basic introduction. This gives me the opportunity to develop a positive relationship with your dog, teach your dog the walking cues, introduce them to the travelling, and potentially introduce them to other dogs.. The number of Walk and Train sessions required will vary depending on your dog's level of obedience and loose leash walking ability. These sessions cost $40 each.

3) Dog Walking:

My on-lead, urban walks with other dogs are one hour long and include training for loose leash walking, basic obedience, impulse control, and socialization with other dogs. The cost for one weekly walk is $35, while two or three walks per week are $30 per session. Discounts may apply for greater than three walks in a week and for two dogs from the same household.

To get started, simply schedule a free Meet and Greet by contacting me via email, phone or text (021 0277 1111), or Facebook Messenger.

Please note that dogs must be capable of an hour-long walk at a steady pace without being unduly physically stressed.

I am happy to consider reactive dogs who may struggle with other dogs and/or people. If you are interested in having your dog join our pack-walking group but are uncertain about how they will interact with others, I can assist you in determining the most suitable options for your dog during our Meet and Greet session. Occasionally, a dog may exhibit aggression issues that are better addressed in a different setting, such as private training, rather than in a pack-walking environment.

I do care about your dog's safety:

- Dogs are safely transported

- Drinking water is available to the dogs

- Walks are on-lead at all times

- Members of the public and other dogs are not permitted to interact with the walking pack

- I have a current Pet first aid qualification.
